Programme Objective

Information technology is the business of managing technology, and it covers a wide field: processes, computer software, information systems, computer hardware, programming languages and the way data is structured. Put simply, anything that presents data, information or knowledge in a visible form, through any medium, belongs to information technology.

People working in IT do a wide range of jobs, from installing an application to designing a large computer network or an information database. The work can include managing data, networking, building computer hardware, designing databases and software, and running whole systems day to day. IT is also spreading well beyond the personal computer and the office network into mobile phones, televisions, cars and much else, and that is increasing the demand for people who can do this work.
